Laschal Bone Packer Forceps / 16.2cm Implant Packer Flat-Handle 90′
Effortless Control. Predictable Results.
Engineered with clinical precision, this grafting instrument is meticulously designed to enhance bone graft placement around dental implants—making the process faster, cleaner, and more efficient. Its unique half-moon tip allows for unmatched finesse during delivery: use it closed for a stable, flat edge, or open it to navigate seamlessly around implant hardware.
Crafted in upstate New York, each instrument reflects Laschal’s commitment to superior manufacturing, clinical innovation, and long-term reliability.
Whether working in tight posterior sites or delicate anterior regions, this instrument provides exceptional control and adaptability for any implant size.
Key Features
- Half-moon tip accommodates various implant diameters and contours
- Efficient material collection and delivery, minimizing graft loss
- Secure packing of bone grafts to promote optimal primary stability
- Carbon-free medical-grade metal, preventing contamination at the surgical site
- Autoclavable and ergonomically balanced for daily clinical use
Clinical Application Protocol
For optimal results, mix the patient’s blood with bone graft material to achieve a cohesive, moldable consistency. Using the slim cylindrical implant packer, gently advance the graft mixture into the extraction socket or prepared implant site.
For maxillary procedures, position the patient in a fully reclined position. If needed, place a rolled towel behind the head and neck to slightly elevate the occipital base, improving visibility and angulation. The viscous nature of the blood-graft mixture ensures stability within the socket, reducing the risk of graft loss during placement.
Step 1: Prepare the Graft Material
- Draw the patient’s autologous blood.
- Thoroughly mix the blood with the bone graft material until a sticky, cohesive consistency is achieved.
- Ensure the mixture is neither too dry nor too runny for optimal handling and packing.
Step 2: Patient Positioning (Maxillary Procedures)
- Position the patient in a fully reclined (supine) position, especially for maxillary procedures.
- If needed, place a rolled towel behind the occipital area and neck to gently elevate the posterior head, optimizing access and visibility.
Step 3: Load and Deliver the Graft Material
- Transfer the mixed graft material to the Laschal Bone Packer.
- Insert the half-moon tip of the Laschal Bone Packer into the socket carefully, aligning it with the intended grafting site.
- Using any slim cylindrical instrument, slowly and steadily advance the graft material into the socket, ensuring precise placement without displacing the surrounding tissue or losing material.
