Root Elevators
Use
Root elevators are used for surgical tooth extractions. They help luxate the tooth in the osseous alveolus and expand the alveolus walls. They are also used to open the gingival sulcus prior to extraction.
Straight instruments are used in the anterior region and the maxillary area. Curved root elevators are ideal for posterior teeth in the mandible.
Workmanship
The shafts of HELMUT ZEPF Root Elevators are welded onto their hollow handles, and each is checked for leakage at the weld joints. This method virtually eliminates leakage compared to cheaper pressed-in shaft designs.
